Once upon a time …

Four friends - Stu, Swill, Sparky and Mikey had a dream, to build the ultimate ski/golf chalet.

Avid golfers and skiers themselves, the mighty foursome had seen the world throughout their Canadian Air Force careers. Staying in some of the worst and best resorts that the world had to offer, they knew that the Kootenays were a great place to be.

One day in the spring of 1997, a piece of mail arrived at the CLHFWB (Cold Lake Home For Wayward Bachelors!). The opportunity had landed in their laps, Intrawest had purchased Panorama B.C. and was expanding the resort. Lots were for sale!

A bid was made and the dream became a reality - Lot #6 Greywolf Drive was theirs! Little time was wasted (well, as little as possible) and soon bankers and architects became new friends while general contractors - became not so good friends (but that's another story).

Ground was broken in November of 1998 and after much blood, sweat and tears the Wayward Chalet was built! Now quit reading this and get out the sticks or the skis!
